ROGER G. MORSE AIA
President / Chief Technical Officer
Architectural and Environmental Consultant Roger G. Morse is a licensed architect with over 40 years of experience, who holds a Bachelor of Architecture and a Bachelor of Science in the Building Sciences from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, New York. He is a nationally recognized expert in the areas of building science, environmental consulting, and forensic analysis. He actively participates in professional organizations developing standards that are applied to the built environment. Mr. Morse is the President and Chief Technical Officer of Morse Associates Inc., and is the principal author of several design guides and model guide specifications in the area of environmental control.
HENRY H. GLASS, PE
Senior Engineer
Mr. Glass is a licensed professional engineer with over 35 years of experience in the evaluation and design of heating, air conditioning and ventilation systems, plumbing, fire safety, electrical and structural. He holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from the University of Kansas, and an MBA from Rockhurst College. Mr. Glass performs forensic analysis of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems in buildings and industrial facilities, with particular attention to dehumidification and indoor air quality in hot humid climates. Once a problem has been analyzed, Mr. Glass then designs the repair and renovations necessary to return equipment to proper operation. Mr. Glass manages the Florida office, coordinating field projects and participating on research projects. He coordinates activities of associates and outside contractors and interfaces with clients throughout a project’s duration. He is a member of the American Society of Heating Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE).
STEPHEN M. LATTANZIO, PE
Senior Engineer
Mr. Lattanzio is a licensed professional engineer with 35 years of experience in forensic analysis of industrial equipment, database design and management, cost estimating, scheduling, chemical engineering, and material science. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Michigan State University. Mr. Lattanzio applies his education and experience to forensic analysis of failures and defects of building systems and industrial processes and equipment, and design of corrective measures and remediation needed to return systems, buildings, processes and equipment to a functional state. Mr. Lattanzio manages the New York office, coordinating field projects and participating on research projects. He coordinates activities of associates and outside contractors and interfaces with clients throughout a project’s duration. He is a member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, National Society of Professional Engineers, ASHRAE and is on several ASTM committees related to building science. He holds ASHRAE certifications for High-Performance Building Design Professional (HBDP) and Commissioning Process Management Professional (CPMP) and is LEED AP certified.
PAUL HAAS, CIH, CSP
Certified Industrial Hygienist / Senior Project Manager
Mr. Haas is both a Certified Industrial Hygienist and a Certified Safety Professional with over 23 years of experience in Industrial Hygiene and Safety including numerous indoor air quality investigations involving mold, and other contaminants. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies and Master of Science in Industrial Hygiene from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Mr. Haas’ professional background includes experience in a variety of settings including automotive, aviation, manufacturing, and oil and gas exploration and production. He has developed health and safety programs, worked with senior management to develop corporate Health, Safety and Environmental programs, and served as a State of Florida OSHA Consultant. His specialties include indoor air quality, moisture and mold investigations in buildings, illness and injury prevention programs, and quality assurance in construction, industry, and oil and gas production.
GORDON A. BRANDON
Senior Project Manager
Gordon Brandon is Senior Project Manager for Morse Associates Inc. Mr. Brandon directs projects and coordinates forensic and investigative research activities for the firm, and regularly interacts with clients, engineers, architects, building owners and managers, and governmental agencies. He coordinates the preparation of client reports and other technical writing for the firm. He has earned a Master of Business Administration in Management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, New York, and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Lehigh University, Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Mr. Brandon has served as a consultant to technology-driven organizations and has many years of senior level, as well as general and engineering management, experience in a number of manufacturing and process industries.
LYNN J. ARNOLD
Senior Project Manager / Director of Operations
Ms. Arnold is a senior project manager / director of operations with over 35 years of experience, including 8 years as administrator of a Biosafety Level-3 laboratory and animal facility where researchers worked to develop vaccine methods and candidates against highly virulent human pathogens, including influenza virus, Category A biothreats such as Francisella tularensis and Yersinia pestis, HIV-1, Lyme disease, MRSA, and pneumococcal infections. As director of operations she oversees the business administration for the company, and as a senior project manager directly coordinates projects and manages the company quality assurance program to assure accuracy and quality of work product produced by the company. Working with the company certified industrial hygienists, Ms. Arnold manages the company’s internal health and safety programs.
DAVID J. COWAN, LEED
Project Manager
Mr. Cowan holds both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Florida Atlantic University, Boca Raton. Mr. Cowan holds certifications as a LEED AP, ENV SP, Asbestos Inspector, Management Planner, and Project Supervisor. He has performed numerous asbestos, mold and moisture intrusion inspections, designed remediation plans, and monitored projects. Frequently he is involved in forensic analysis of indoor environmental quality issues brought on by building envelope problems or improper operation of mechanical equipment. Mr. Cowan also teaches a course in hazardous materials and air quality at Palm Beach State College.
MATT DIVINE, CIH, CIAQM
Certified Industrial Hygienist / Senior Project Manager
Mr. Divine is both a Certified Industrial Hygienist and a Certified Indoor Air Quality Manager, who received his Bachelor of Science from the University of South Florida, Tampa, and has over 10 years of experience in industrial hygiene and indoor air quality. As an AHERA Certified Inspector and Management Planner, Mr. Divine has performed numerous asbestos inspections, and designed and monitored asbestos and mold remediation projects; and as a Mold Assessor, has investigated numerous mold problems, and designed and monitored many mold remediation projects. He has been the lead investigator on many indoor air quality investigations including IAQ and ventilation studies in over 60 schools in the southeast US.
MICHAEL J. SNYDER
Senior Project Manager
Mr. Snyder is an environmental professional with over 35 years of experience in both the public and private sector. Over the years, Mr. Snyder has earned certifications in indoor air quality, hazardous materials, lead, asbestos, radon, and environmental site assessments, and has been involved in hundreds of investigations involving environmental contamination in schools, hospitals, courthouses, and high rise condominiums.
